Success in a Project Manager Methodology Community
Share success with another Project Manager. This is most important for a directive PMO. If the PMO uses resources from internal departments or develops projects to change internal operations. For example, if the PMO says, "The Sales Department increased sales by 10% last year by working with the PMO to implement a new automated sales tracking system," that is much better than, "The PMO provided the Sales Department with a new automated sales tracking system that increased sales by 10%."
Use the PMO's weaknesses to define next steps. Mention failures before an opponent has an opportunity to do so. Acknowledge them fully, and propose an improvement that will prevent recurrence.
