The PMO's Role in Project Management Maturity
There are seven things that a PMO must do to develop project management maturity across the organization:
Research capabilities and best practices
Organize the methodology and governance rules that the company will follow
Support effective project management software
Assess and evaluate capability, best practices, and maturity
Provide feedback to define necessary improvements
Provide additional support is response to specific assessments and evaluations.
Guide the organization strategically to higher levels of project management maturity
