Define Project Management Community Structural Requirements

Have only one database. The goal of the PMO is to integrate all project management information, methods, and knowledge. Therefore, there should be a single repository of information, a single database. It may take some time to decommission older databases. As a result, there may be a transitional period of multiple databases.

The database should be relational. A relational database is a database of two-dimensional arrays of information that are related to one another through key fields. Only this type of database can accurately represent the entire set of project management life cycle information.
